Haast
A place of natural beauty, untouched beaches and rugged glacial river valleys, Haast is an easy day trip from Wanaka. Our first stop is a visit to the Blue Pools surrounded by beech forest – accessed by a short walk over a swing bridge. We make several other stops along the way including a short walk through prehistoric rain forests. A light lunch of delicious West Coast Whitebait Patties is included.

Mt Cook (Aoraki) & MacKenzie Country
Located in the centre of New Zealand’s South Island, Mt Cook and the Mackenzie basin are home to breathtaking landscapes. Snow capped mountains, turquoise lakes, canals, salmon farms and more. From Wanaka we drive through the dramatic landscape of the Lindis Pass which links Central Otago to the Mackenzie country. Whilst at the Mt Cook Village – visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre (ticket included) and take a light lunch in the cafe (own expense).

Glenorchy
A slice of paradise, Glenorchy is a small settlement at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu. We take a scenic drive over the Crown Range, pass by the picturesque Lake Hayes and through Queenstown. A 45 minute drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu brings us to Glenorchy where we stop for lunch (own expense). After lunch we travel back to Wanaka with a short break in the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown where you may visit the Chinese settlement or just take a stroll down the heritage main street.

Central Otago
A region where you will find a stunning landscape of rugged mountains, lakes, rivers, rolling farmland, and gold mining towns Central Otago has a rich history of days gone by. We visit a couple of beautifully preserved historic towns, hydro dam, and a vineyard for a wine tasting.

NZ Child Restraints law requires that children under 7 years of age must be properly restrained by an approved child restraint while travelling in a vehicle fitted with seat belts. When booking, please advise the age, approximate height & weight of any children travelling. Child & baby seats are available at an additional hire fee.
